If you don't plan to read it all, TLDR version at end of this long rant.
We've been seeing lots of wrong submissions and its a cumbersome task to inform you what went wrong, it also gets annoying sometimes.
We are aware that we don't have every possible gallery folder but we do have set of folders that cover everything and then some. Problem is, for most part, limited to just two type of artworks though and rest are usually accidental errors. Which one are these? Mixed Media is the biggest culprit here and by huge margin the second one has to be Photo manipulation. Following are the rules for these.
We have a separate folder for Traditional art and Digital art. Unless your art work uses both these techniques, it belongs in either traditional or digital folder. Using different painting tools/techniques does not make it a Mixed media but instead it makes it a Traditional Mixed Media artwork and same goes for Digital,. It does not change the category of your artwork, it changes the sub-category. Also, unless its mentioned in your art description that you have used both traditional and digital techniques, we will assume that you haven't and reject the artwork.
Normal edits like color correction, mild touch ups don't make it a Photomanip. Photo manipulation folder will only have artwork where photo(s) have been edited so much that their original subject matter has changed.
If you are confused, have a folder request, or have a question, feel free to leave a message on group profile.
1) Mixed Media folder is to be used for art using both traditional and digital techniques.
2) Usual beauty edits dont make a photo a manipulation and hence such images belong to Photography folder.
